Description
The first result of my research - full 3D printing of animated lenses.
For printing, you need only one transparent plastic and one extruder. No post-press procedures are required.
The image arises and changes due to the optical properties of lenticular forms.
I guess this technology will expand the capabilities of 3D printing.
Two phases of movement are available so far. Nevertheless, in the future I hope to increase the number of stages and improve the quality. I am grateful to the #PrusaPrinters contest, it was during its holding that I got this idea, and I achieved the first results.
Best of all, the effect of changing images is visible on the video:
I printed with SBS plastic, but I assume a similar result using PETG.
As far as I could find out, it is important to observe many characteristics, other settings may not lead to an effective result. The main ones are:
Nozzle Diameter 0.8
Layer Height 0.4
Line Width 0.6
Speed about 30
Spiral vase mode
It is important not to allow strong shrinkage of the plastic, the walls should be even.
Printing time about 10 minutes.
For the best effect, it is worth making good lighting behind the object.
