Era of Tribes - Insert/Organizer

My contribution for an Insert for Era of Tribes - Kickstarter Queen's Edition.

This edition adds the Modular Board Tiles, Metal coins, and the 5&6 Player edition.

As for other inserts I create I aim for the following (in priority order):

• Enhance setup and tear-down part
• No need for covers of boxes but designed for horizontal and vertical storage
• Opted to store sleeved cards (not a requirement for this insert)
• Try to be as lightweight and resourceful as possible.

I hope I have achieved my goal.

• Enhanced setup/tear-down part:

For the enhanced setup phase I created individual player trays for each player that contains all required pieces including the starting money. As the count of metal coins is not too high, I added a slot fitting the 5 bucks from the cardboard money as a reminder (no need for looking up in the manual).

In addition due to space constraints the player trays are two parted - but they are slight into each other, therefore each tray can be single-handedly taken out of the box and handed over. The only exception is the initial influence card that every player receives - as this is randomized every play.

Most of the other pieces can be taken out of the box and placed on the table next to the board as required. Especially the influence card tray - if you shuffle those at the end of the game you can use them out-of-the-box after setup.

The different trays can be arranged in such a way that those that are not required after setup anymore (i.e. Luxury-, Militarytokens as well as the border pieces and barbarian villages) can be put on the bottom of the box and stored with it somewhere else during gameplay.

The Cointrays as well as the Luxurytoken tray even have some spare space - this was designed to reduce the amount of material required.

• Try to be as lightweight and resourceful as possible:

The total amount of filament for the whole set is a bit more than 500g. It is a compromise based on the high number of pieces and in addition still be also stable (looking at the hex storage). Depending on your settings on a number of perimeters as well as infill etc your experience may vary - therefore I posted a screenshot for some recommended settings I used if you want to have a similar look.

All the parts can be printed without the need for a support structure.

Overall, it was an interesting experience - on one hand, a lot of different sized and shaped pieces and during the design, I also didn't want to go with a pure boxy design.
