Description
This can be used to store the rail segments of the duplo train in a neat way. It can store a stack of rail segments on both sides. There are STLs for several stack heights.
It has nobs and holes that fit to duplo so it looks duploish.
I think I saw the idea somewhere on Thingiverse, but I couldn't find it anymore so I created a new one in Solidworks. I uploaded STL files of different stack heights. Note that the model for the 15 stack height exceeds the vertical build volume of a Prusa MK3.
The duplo train we're using it for is from 2020.
Update: I found the thingiverse page of the original idea again: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3291854
I printed it with variable layer height. This way the top fillets of the nobs came out neatly with 0.08mm layer height while the large vertical walls where printed with 0.25mm layer height which saves some time.
However i recommend to not exceed 0.2mm layer height because a larger layer height will cause some difficulty with putting on the rail segments since the surface will be rougher.
No supports required.
Print time for stack height 10: 6h
I printed it in PETG, but other materials are fine.
