Description

This set of pieces holds together eight trains and a two-piece train hub with a large domino shaped case. This makes a compact set that can be carried with your dominoes! This was sized to fit standard domino pieces.

All files can be printed without supports, but a brim might be needed if using a non-heated print bed. I typically also use glue stick on the bed surface with larger objects like these. Just be sure to fully remove any brim material around the connector pieces of the hub so they fit together smoothly.

Print height shouldn't matter. I've used 0.35mm for the ones pictured. Print two of the “Train Hub Half” pieces and one of the “Domino Case Bottom”. If you want a solid color top that's faster to print, use the “Domino Case Top Solid” file. Otherwise, print one of the “Domino Case Top”, one of the “Domino Case Top Divider”, and 14 of the “Domino Case Top Dot”. Print the Divider and Dot pieces in a different color from the case, then glue them into the Top.

The train is resized from the Little Train - Mexican Domino design, at 85% of the original file. You don't need to resize the file included here, it's already correct and fixed for manifold issues. Print eight trains in different colors.

Once completed, the two hub halves will slip onto the Case Bottom. Then the Case Top will snap in place and hold the hub halves together.

UPDATE 2-13-2023: I've added a single-piece model for the domino case dots and divider. This way they can all be printed at once, rather than having to glue in multiple pieces later.
