Description
Compact three-piece dice tower and tray that doubles as a dice box when not in use. N48 strength cube magnets hold the sides together, and hold the tower to the tray when in use, and keep the three pieces together snugly when stored.
In storage mode, dice larger than 13mm are trapped and can't shake out. Stores approximately 25 dice, depending on sizes and shapes.
Roll tested with 14, 15 and 16mm d6 dice and handfuls of other standard sized dice (d4, d8, d10/100, d12, d20).

Inserting the Magnets and Ensuring Correct Polarity
Holes are sized for 3/16" cube magnets (such as https://totalelement.com/collections/cube-magnets/products/totalelement-64-neodymium-magnets-3-16-inch-cube-n48). You will need twenty (20) magnets.
Files were created with .4mm tolerance, which for my printer results in the magnets press-fitting pretty snugly all around and just a hair below the surface. However, a bit of epoxy or CA glue goes a long way to ensuring they stay put, especially in the one magnet at the bottom of each side that does not have four sides of support.Left and Right Sides
First, insert 5 magnets into theright side.
Then, one at a time, place a second magnet onto one of the magnets you just inserted, so that their polarities align (see picture). Align the appropriate hole on theleft side with the free magnet and press it down to insert the magnet into the left side. Do this for all five magnets. When done, the two sides should snap together well, with none of the magnets repelling each other.
Tray and Storage Side
Decide whether you want the dice to be stored to the left or right. Repeat the process above, aligning the four corners on the open/top side of thetray to the chosenleft or right side. When done, the tray should snap together with the chosen side.
Tray and Empty Side
Repeat the process a third time, aligning the four corners on the bottom side of thetray with the remainingleft or right side. When done, all three pieces should snap together, left and right sides with the tray in the middle.
NOTE: The end of the tray with the small support ledge and holes in the middle for two magnets should be aligned with thetop of the dice tower sides, so that its magnets don't conflict with the magnets in the bottoms of the two sides.
Tower Support Ledge
Finally, put the left and right sides together, and place two magnets on thebottom so that their polarities align with the magnets you inserted there earlier. Position the tower over the tray so that these two magnets align with the two-magnet hole in middle of one end of the tray, and press down to insert them. When done, these magnets should serve to hold the tower on the tray while in use.
