Toy Bus

A bus toy that you don't have to be afraid to give your kids. Children will also appreciate being able to open doors.

Easy print and no post-processing. You can achieve the multi-colored effect by changing the filament twice during the printing of the upper part: at a height of 11.2 mm and 37.2 mm.

The version without windows is faster to print and my kids appreciate that they can put “passengers” inside more easily.

I recommend printing with petg for good durability, but I guess PLA will also work.

When printing the doors, I recommend exposing the infill by setting top and bottom layers to zero. In PrusaSlicer, I used 50% Triangles infill to achieve the effect on the photos.

For the assemly you will need just:

2x M3 screws 50 mm length

4x M3 nuts (2 mm height)

2x M3 self-locking nuts

8x screws 3 x 12 mm

Optional:

The bus is prepared for magnetic signs that can be easily changed by the kid and stored in the “baggage compartment” of the bus. If you want this feature, you have to set the print interruption while printing the upper part at the height of 11.2 mm and insert 4 magnets: 5 mm x 3 mm x 1 mm. Then it is possible to cut signs of the appropriate dimensions (you can use the attached template) from the sheet metal.
