*Please scale the model in your slicer to your desired size
Saw an fancy version of these online and decided to model my own. After all that work I saw that similar versions were already on here and Thingiverse but figured I'd upload mine anyway since it has a little twist.
This model has the die you can print and use by itself but also the inlays so you get the contrast. It's a tight fit so you need to have your printer dialed in pretty well. I glued the inlays in with cyanoacrylate (Krazy Glue) then sanded down to 220 grit to make the inlays flush, round over the edges more, and to give it all a matte look. The inlays will stick up until you sand them down.
I printed mine at 25mm which is quite a bit larger than your average dice, but change it however you like. The file has them at 10mm which is probably too small to work, but let me know if you try. The most common dice size is 16mm.
Printing them at 100% infill will make them feel the most like “real” dice. I recommend at least 50%
The settings I used for the ones in the picture are as follows.:
Filament: Ender White PLA, Ender Black PLA
Extruder Temp: 200c
Bed Temp: 60c
Print Speed: 50mm/s
Infill: 100% (at least 50% recommended)
Walls/Top/Bottom: 1.5mm
Support: No
I'd love to see a photo and hear how it went if you decide to try it.
