Description
My contribution for an Insert for 'A Feast for Odin' (incl expansion the Norwegians).
I designed it already a few weeks ago, but for publishing, I was considering feedback coming from my other designs.
This time, I tried to utilize the 3mf-Fileformat further to enhance the setup for the slicer.
The 3mf-Files are barebone from Fusion360 and therefore don't contain any slicer-specific settings. But they should work for those slicers supporting the format (Prusa, Bambu, and Cura at least). Leave a comment about what you think about it.
There is in addition a pdf file in the download section where you can print pages 2 and 3 to put into the box as a storage guideline. Further pages provide instructions for printing as well.
As for other inserts, I create I aim for the following (in priority order):
* Enhance setup and tear-down part
Take everything out of the box and arrange it around the different boards. If you shuffle the A/B/C-card decks prior to storing everything back into the box, you can take out those trays for immediate playing as well.
* No need for covers of boxes but designed for horizontal and vertical storage
There is a slight lift of the cover in case you store the end-result blocks as well - I consider those consumables and therefore had to think in case it is not anymore. So the box can still be stored vertically in either case.
* Opted to store sleeved cards (not a requirement for this insert)
For details on the size of trays see page 5 of the pdf in case of doubts. I used DocsMagic Standard Sleeves for my cards.
* Try to be as lightweight and resourceful as possible.
There is a lot going on in the box and for sorting and usability, there are several trays required. I hollowed a lot of them while still keeping them suitable. In the end, the box will be around 3/4kg heavier (I didn't weigh the original trays which I had to remove from the box :-) )
If you like what you see or even was helpful, leave me a rating, like, or even a tip :-)
If you have suggestions or feedback, write in the comments section.
Until the next insert (looking at you FP :-))
Have fun printing
