Sidewinder - the flying ring!

Introduction

The Sidewinder flying ring was inspired by commercial products like the Wham-o Turbo-Tube, the Skyro, the Toobee, the Zoom Toob and the X-Zylo. The novel design improvement here is the airfoil cross-section of the leading edge of this ring.  The airfoil shape rotated 360° around the ring's central axis allows for superior aerodynamics.

How to fly

Throwing this sidearm, with just the right trajectory will result in a seriously cool glide that makes this thing look like it magically flies with a mind of its own.

The print

Single piece print!  The design is thin enough to fly like a bird, but thick enough to withstand the inevitable crash into a wall.  Takes only about 2hrs to print, with endless hours of fun.
