Description
These are mesmerizing to watch roll! I made this GIGANTIC version that is about 150mm at its widest point. I've included a model with four different magnet sizes. Here are some of the magnets that I use from Amazon.
There are 12 magnet holes in the 6x2mm_mag version. That means you'll need 24 of the tiny magnets once you print two halves. I haven't tested this, but that should have plenty of magnetic strength to keep the sphericon held together while rolling.
The 8x2mm, 10x2mm, and 12x2mm models have 6 magnet holes in each half; you'll need 12 magnets total to create any of those models.
I used E6000 adhesive to secure the magnets in place. You could also simply glue the two halves together if you don't want it to rotate.
The striped pattern was created by changing filaments at 33% and 66% of the print job.
0.25mm layers, 3 walls, 25% infill, no supports
