Description
This one is works after printing!
The original remixed model had separate ear blades that fit into the head, but the earholes where the earblades were supposed to fit were partially blocked off. (Of course, I figured this out after printing the entire model out.) I messed around with opening up the holes in OpenSCAD or in PrusaSlicer using cylinders, but the earholes are oval. A bit more thinking took me to using the earblades as a negative volume in PrusaSlicer to open up the holes. I combined that with shrinking down the ear blades to 99% and the model assembles nicely with a firm press fit. I used a dab of superglue on each end of the spring.
This model is provided as a 3mf with all the parts on one tray with PrusaSlicer organic supports. These break away cleanly and easily and leave a clean part behind. If you want to parts in different color, just turn off the parts (the eyeball icon next to each part in PrusaSlicer) that you don't want to print and slice as normal.
Download. Slice. Print. Repeat if necessary.
This is a remix of a model that I printed, but couldn't assemble due to a problem with the model (the earblades wouldn't fit into the earholes.) I opened up the earholes using PrusaSlicer negative volumes.
Take this model for a ride on your printer.
Don't forget you can earn Prusameter Rewards (free filament and other cool rewards!) for printing out models and posting a photo of your Make here on Printables.
