Description
The Jastrow illusion is an optical effect that consists of two curved and identical figures, where the one at the top appears significantly smaller than the one at the bottom. The illusion was discovered by American psychologist Joseph Jastrow in 1889 and has since been studied in visual perception and cognitive psychology.
La ilusión de Jastrow es un efecto óptico que consiste en dos figuras curvas e idénticas, donde la de arriba parece significativamente más pequeña que la de abajo. La ilusión fue descubierta por el psicólogo estadounidense Joseph Jastrow en 1889 y desde entonces se ha estudiado en percepción visual y psicología cognitiva.
