Full insert for the game Excavation Earth with the 2 expansions and promos. Remix of the excellent design by Nayr090 on Thingiverse. Note I offer this model for printing on commission.

edit 24.05.2023. v2 improves on A LOT. I achieved my goal which was to have individual trays for each promo, expansion, separating each color of tiles by themselves. Plus I found space for an individual tray for the promo mini expansions! Tons of new things:
- New trays for Achievements (module 3) and initiative tokens, organizing each color of token separately - replacing the space of one of the Tokens3_x_2.stl parts.
- New token for tiles and wooden cubes of modules 7 and 7, as well replacing the space of one of the Tokens3_x_2.stl parts.
- Added text to small cards trays for Zu, Core and module 6, 7, 8. The card tray for modules 6, 7, 8 has a notch so the Observation Barge board from module 4 fits into it (pushing the cards a bit but that way space is saved).
- New customized card tray for modules 1, 3. Extra space here (using it for dissecant bags).
- Modified Tokens1_x_2.stl and Tokens2_x_2.stl to allow extra space for tiles.
- New labeled trays for individual color of core games tray, labeled (C-G for Core Green, for example).
- 5 new trays for Promo 02 tiles, for each color.
- 4 new trays for Promo 01 tiles, 3 for single colors, 1 for 2 colors.
- 1 tray for the Promo 01 and Promo 02 mini expansion - all the tiles and the cardboard rules pieces on the top.
- Credits tray now has 5 spaces (1 space will be empty), a notch so the longer buyer board fits into it, and a notch to help lift it out.
All this fits very well and is quite a puzzle to fit. But works perfectly!
I printed all this with 0.6 nozzle. The only part needing supports is the credits tray.
I am putting all the v1 files in folders. For this new v2, please find folders for:
- Plain STLs
- 3mf ready to print for normal printer, with filament change at last layers to give highlight color
- 3mf ready to print for the MMU - advantage here being all insert can be printed in fewer print jobs, and a few extra highlights.

From the original insert, print the following files (included here):
- Credits_lid.stl
- Large_Cards_1.stl
- Misc_Box_x_2.stl 2 times
- Player_Pieces_x_9.stl 9 times
- Tokens1_x_2.stl 2 times
- Tokens3_x_2.stl 2 times
That insert works well (especially as it was designed before the 2nd expansion was released), but I improved it (to my point of view) with the following changes:
- Modified Tokens2_x_2.stl holders so that there is more space for 3 additional Artifact_Tiles_x_5.stl holders. Print 2 of Tokens2_x_2 extra extra shortened.stl.
- Modified Artifact_Tiles_x_5.stl creating holders for 18 tiles (the complete set for each color). Print Artifact_Tiles - 18 Tiles x8.stl 8 times.
- Modified Artifact_Tiles_x_5.stl creating holders for 20 tiles (for the promos). Print Artifact_Tiles - Double 20 Tiles x 4.stl 4 times. See picture for guidance.
- Modified Credits.stl so that the buyer board can now fit flush with the other boards and not lay on top of this. Note this new part is now shown in pictures (I still need to print it!). Print Credits Inlay.stl. This will need supports!
- Modified Main_Small_cards.stl so that they have labels for Core Game and Zu solo cards. Print one of Small_Cards - Zu.stl and Small_Cards - Core.stl.
- Modified Main_Small_cards.stl so that it has dividers with the right space for each module in Museums expansion, and added label. Print Small_Cards - Museum Expansion.stl.
- Modified Large_Cards_2.stl so that it fits large and small cards from Second Wave expansion. Print Card Holder - Second Wave Large and Small.stl.
My idea is that you store the base game tiles each in it's own tray, and have separate trays for the promos and expansions. See picture for guidance.
As well, it annoyed me the buyer board had to lay diagonally over the credits box, hence why I added the small inlay so it lays flush on top of the other boards. And as well I dimensioned the small cards holders to fit the expansion cards correctly, in separate spaces, labelled by module.
I am not including the files that are not needed from Nayr090's insert. Thanks to him for the design!
Note in pictures I show printed with the last layer changing color for a nice accent. I printed this with a 0.6 nozzle at 0.35 layer height.
Including STL files as well as 3mf. 3mf are for 0.6 nozzle with layer change to add color highlight and no solid bottom layer to save filament.
Note: pictures do not show the new credits inlay box nor card holders. Nor the expansion components. I will add these pictures later!
