Description

Just a simple pencilsharpener for two sizes of pencils. This model is non-functional except for the fun part :)

I modelled this on a 1:1 scale from a real sharpener and printed this 400% the actual size.

Print instructions

Category: Hand Tools Summary

Just a simple pencilsharpener for two sizes of pencils. This model is non-functional except for the fun part :)

I modelled this on a 1:1 scale from a real sharpener and printed this 400% the actual size.

Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK2S

Rafts: Yes

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.15 for blade, 0.20 for base

Infill: 10% - 15%

Notes:

Only the blade needs some raft/brim to make sure it keeps sticking to your printbed. Print the blade on a 45 degree angle for nice lines on your blades. Make sure to rotate the blade with the correct side down. OnShape does some weird things with top/bottom orientation.

You need one base and two blades.

Printed the blades in Prusa PLA (Silver) and the base in Colorfab NGEN Gray Metallic for a nice immitation of aluminium and steel.

Post-Printing

Glue the blades on the base and add two screws to complete the sharpener. You can also drill two tiny holes in the base. Pick your screws according to the scale you print this in.

How I Designed This

Created with OnShape using a calliper and protractor

The STL's and the OnShape link contain a version that has better alignment of the small cone.

Real sharpener for scale, this is not the final blade thickness.
