Description

This model was tested with Estes C6-5 and A8-3 engines, both worked well. This model is entirely 3D printed and support free, however, a brim is highly recommended. Unfortunately, it is too tall to fit on the Prusa MINI.

Watch the test flight of my model here: https://youtube.com/shorts/pf-8LLFL-3w?feature=share

For assembly, you will need:

Parachute (12-in worked fine)

Shock cord (Or rubber bands)

Paperclips (I used them to make the parachute removable)

Assembly instructions:

1. Attach a shock cord or rubber band about one inch from the top on the inside of the tube. This should be about the length of the rocket, if not more. A shock cord is preferred over a rubber band.

2. Tie your shock cord or rubber band to the nosecone.

3. Tie a Parachute or Streamer to the nosecone, I tested a 12 in parachute, but similar sizes should work just fine.

4. The final recovery assembly should look like this or similar. The rubber band wrapped around the streamer should be removed before flight.

This image was copied from my Terran-1 Rocket, but the assembly is the same. You can check out that rocket here: https://www.printables.com/model/431435-terran-1-the-worlds-first-3d-printed-rocket
