Description
Take to the skies on wings of bubbles! This super thin glider uses a film of bubble liquid to form the airplane's skin.
The rest of the plane is PLA. It is only three layers thick (except for the nose) and requires an excellent first layer. Use care removing the plane when finished – wait for the build plate to fully cool.
Bend the tail wings up a little to form a delta wing for greater air time.
Dip the plane in bubble liquid – a cake pan works great or you can print the included plane shaped bowl. The bowl model is in vase mode, but if you want the bubble liquid to stay inside, use super thick layers.
Due to the delicate nature of the bubble film, this is best used on a still day or inside (if you don't mind the mess).
Inspired by the WWII British Royal Air Force (RAF) SpitFire.
