Description
Hey !
This is a fun project I really wanted to share with you because I had lots of fun with it !
As you can see, the concept is simple, it is juste a tiny 3d printed glider with the wings made out of "soap bubble liquid"! Seems simple enough ! But I garantee that this glider is just a ton of fun !
You can really tweak it to try to make it fly for longer by bending the tail for example ! Don't expect it to fly straight and far ech time you throw it, the fun lies in the tuning and practicing !
This thing prints in 3 minutes and uses les than 10 cm of filament, it really is easy to print.
You just have to know it was designed for 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.2mm or 0.1mm layer height. If you do not use these basic settings, you might run into trouble. For exemple the tail, which is very thin might not print at all.
If you have any question about my settings, feel free to ask in the comments !
You pour the glider in the liquid to “create” a bubble that will serve as a wing, and then you just gently throw it and watch it glide !
You can use any commercial "soap bubble liquid", or you can DIY your own (see the video).
If you have any question, feel free to ask in the comments 😁 !
Have fun with that design, happy printing !
