Description

You need 100+ magnets (5x1 mm)

It depends on how many additional chess pieces you want print.

Chessboard:

  • for Multi Material Printer:

Important for multicolor print:

  • Support
  • suitable layer height
  • the magnets are inserted after printing (with glue)

  • for a single material printer (every printer)
  • There are two parts:

 the frame:

the chessboard: (Prusa Slicer / Cura)

Important:

  • glue the frame and the board together after printing
  • the magnets are inserted after printing (with glue)

Drawer

  1. Insert the magent while printing and pause the print for it.
  2. After the print stick the other magnet to the inside wall/frame of the chessboard so that the drawer stays closed.

Chess pieces

  1. Printing Instructions:
    • The Magente are inserted during printing .
    • I printed the pieces with a 0.25 mm nozzle. If you don't have one, test to see if you can fit the magents into the pieces with your nozzle. If not, scale the pieces up a bit, but scale everything else up as well.
    • If you want to play duck chess you can print this duck.  The diameter should not be larger than 12 mm. https://www.printables.com/de/model/306574-duck-chess-piece

I designed the chessboard and drawer completely myself. Thanks for the chess pieces: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5211517/files

If you have any questions write me.

In the summer of 2024, I plan to make a version without a drawer where the figures will be stored differently in the board. ;-; - April 2025 I'm still working on it
