Description

Check out my second version designed for a motion sensor.

The Sat Skull was created by @OrangeSurfBTC which is a remix of JackieMake's skull. The files can be downloaded here.

Version 2 is required if you want to place LEDs in the eyes. This platform is designed for the use with a 9V block.

Print instructions:

  • print in the orientaion the models are created

  • usually no supports are needed, but I placed one under the hole for the switch

  • If your switch doesn't match the dimensions of my switch, print the version without the hole and either cut it in afterwards or edit the file before.

  • You can adjust the height of the bolt in your slicer to change the distance of the skull to the platform. With the original dimensions the skull “floats” about 7mm above the platform (platform to teeth).

Assembly:

First you have to tweek the original model. You can either do this with tools after the print (like I did) or you can edit the print files.

  • Get rid of the logo on the bottom of the skull (red) while keeping the outer diameter (blue).

  • Then make a 5mm hole from there to the surface where the slots for the wires are.

  • Last make space for the wires on this surface.

Put the bolt with the bevel into the platform and with the other end into the skull.

Everything else should be self-explanatory.
