Description
My contribution for an insert for the German edition of 'Belfort' published by Pegasus Spiele.
I uploaded the files as STL and as 3mf. I would recommend using the 3mf file as they are already pre-cut and should make slicing conditions easier.
But - especially for Cura users - if you don't want to change your settings, you may find the stl's file easier to handle.
!There is in addition a pdf file in the download section where you can print pages 2 and 3 to put into the box as storage guidelines. Other pages provide instructions for printing as well.
As for other inserts I create I aim for the following (in priority order):
* Enhance setup and tear-down part
Take everything needed out of the box and arrange it around the different boards. Some trays - where required - contain added information for the setup. E.g. the gnome tray is splitted already to account for different player counts.
* No need for covers of boxes but designed for horizontal and vertical storage
* Opted to store sleeved cards (not a requirement for this insert)
I used DocsMagic Standard Sleeves for my cards - the size of the used sleeves are in the provided pdf.
* Try to be as lightweight and resourceful as possible.
I have mixed feelings. I hollowed a lot of the trays and used several tricks to reduce the amount of filament used. But it is a 'small game' (component-wise) in a regular Euro-sized box.
If everything is printed it requires roundabout 0,5kg of filament. If you substitute the spacers and the second card tray (because not needed for unsleeved cards or standard-sleeved cards) with other materials like the foam you can reduce the amount by 150g.
