BattleFleet Star Wars: Rebels vs. the Empire

Gave that away as a birthday present to 7-year old twins....therefore I needed a sturdier version that could take some abuse.

I basically combined chemteacher628 awesome BattleFleet version with yanew's parametric toolbox design and added some more "ships".

Added some white number and letter plates as well, so that I could read it at gloomy light conditions without my reading glasses as well ;)

As I wanted to print the text on the box lid I had to lay them flat and print the hinges separately, so that the layers are facing in the structurally viable direction.

The box, letter and number plates and the pins are printed in PLA (no supports needed), the figures and hinges with ColorFabbs nGen (most of them need supports).

Glued with Superglue gel. Let's see how long it withstands the kids... :)

I used additionally 6 x M3x35mm screws and washers and safety nuts for the box and latch mechanism.

Update October 26th, 2021:

added a version of the box top lid without text -> for differently themed remixes (mesh quality not quecked yet)

Update November 16th, 2021:

added a complete new set of case files (all marked with V2 in the beginning.

The top lid is now a bit thinner (which will possibly help with the whole case not tipping over easily).

Improved hinges which can now be attached with 10 x M3x5 socket Cap Screws (instead of just superglue). (If you want to see it printed check the "Codebreaker" board game remix, I have used them there)
