Description
This is a variation of the classic Devil's Knot puzzle.
I initially took inspiration from this other model, but I totally redesigned this on the basis of some other models (3D printed and not) found on the Internet, to make a model that would surely fit in a symmetrical way, and create one more interesting variation.
At this moment, the collection contains the classic “3D cross” shape, and there's a spherical variation which I have never seen anywhere and I really like.
These are the 6 pieces (3D cross variation):
And here's a short video on how to solve it:
You can print the files with all 6 pieces already laid out, or print each piece separately (e.g. for different colors on each piece). If you print the pieces separately, you need to print one each of pieces #1-4 and two of piece #5.
All pieces print without supports if printed on the correct side (for the sphere pieces: the shorter side). The files with all 6 pieces already laid out are already oriented correctly.
The pieces have a tolerance of 0.1 mm per side: enough for a good fit with no slack on a decently tuned printer.
