Eyeballs [no support, modular]

My kids asked me to print them a couple of eyeballs for their play kitchen. I chose not to ask questions but get designing.

All the pieces can be printed with no supports or rafts. Use white filament for the top and bottom half of the eyeball and whichever filament you find pleasing for the iris.

No supports necessary, no rafts either. I printed mine in PLA.

Painting
The geometry is meant to emulate a dark hole at the center, but for a good effect you might have to insert some black paint into it. Adding a little bit of paint or a wash to the iris prior to assembly can enhance the looks as well.
If you deem it necessary you can add some spray lacquer for a wet look. This will be tricky on the assembled eyeballs, though, since they will roll away. Doing ot on the halves will work better but might emphasize the gap.

Assembly
Place the two eyeball halves against each other and insert the iris. If everything went as planned, pushing the iris in should provide a good friction fit. Dropping the eyeball might dislodge it, though so if you want to be on the safe side add a bit of ca glue to the sides of the hole in the bottom of the eyeball.
