Description
I'am not a friend of 3D prints which requiers supports.
My HP Reverb G2 Face Cover is printable without ugly supports ;-)
The model is desinged from scratch (not modified) to get a better FOV and of course easy printing.
The shape is a bit wider to get less pressure to the head. The Part is optimized to use "easy to get" HTC VIVE Facepads from for example KIWI design, HTC or cheap china VIVE parts. KIWI has pad sets with different sizes (best for testing). I got best result with a 6mm pad.
The magnets including the cover are working like the original ones - snap in easily
You need:
After the print:
Foam nose cover:
There is a template included to cut the foam parts (for my nose). Buy a bit more to try to get the best size for you. Cut the foam, and glue the round side together. The foam will shape like a nosecover - great !
Put some double sided tape or glue to the cover and place the nose cover according to your needs. I use double sided tape without foam or paper (only glue), sticks like hell !
Fabric nose cover:
The second template is designed to cut a pice of fabric (~2.5mm). Just cut the fabric, tack the round edge together and flip inside out.
I've some velcro stips laying arround from TESA Fly screen (Fliegengitter), works great.
Please let me know if you need a wider, smaller or a "not so near to the lenses" parts.
