Description

Meet Ribbits, the no-supports-needed frog! They come in a variety of options and with an assortment of accessories all designed to be printed without the need for supports as long as your machine can handle around 55 degree overhangs.

We have, in no particular order:

Ribbits:

  • Looking forward
  • Wonky Eyes
  • Looking forward with Eye Ripples
  • Wonky Eyes with Ripples

Accessories

  • Top Hat
  • Bow
  • Crown
  • Shutter Shades
  • Party Hat

I was unable to get the bow and top hat to make rock solid connection while atop the head so while they do sit comfortably they may be slightly prone to falling off if Ribbits is placed in an area where the surface might get bumped. My best suggestion would be to get a small dot of Blue-Tack to help keep it firmly in place while also still allowing for easy accessory switching.

Depending on your bed adhesion you may need to add a brim or a raft when printing as some pieces don't make a lot of contact with the build plate, however I was able to test and print each file at their default scale without them. You mileage may vary here.

I have a lot of ideas for additional accessories and depending on time may continue to add more but would also love to open it up and see what you all might be able to create! I love seeing all the wonderful prints and imagination of this fantastic community so if you have any ideas please share!

As a small disclaimer Ribbits originally started their life as a pet that I made for the mobile game Nonstop Knight in 2017 and then was brought back in the sequel in 2019. I have always loved them and thought they would be the perfect fun print to share with the world. This model is not an advertisement for those games nor sponsored in any way.

I hope you enjoy printing and thank you for checking them out. I will leave you with my favorite .gif from their original creation and development!
