Description

An updated version of the insert from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3531140, but with one of the compartments made wider in order to accommodate the twigs from the 2nd edition printing of Everdell. They are larger, and didn't quite fit with the lid on.

The existing lid still works (and is attached here for convenience). I left the outer dimensions the same, so it'll still fit in one of the large wells. The other well can be used for the cardboard pieces, and a bag of the meeples.

How I Designed This

I have a few expansions for Everdell, but keep all of the commonly used parts in the main box, with the original insert. I only wanted something to hold the resources more efficiently than having to deal with 6 bags each time, and found https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3531140 which was great, except that the twigs didn't quite fit. I realized that this is because it was designed with the 1st edition twigs in mind, which are smaller; so I figured I could easily just move a wall around - the doors and pebbles took up very little room, so it wouldn't be a problem to put them in a smaller compartment.

I used Tinkercad to edit the model, and I'm not sure if something is funny with the model itself or it was just the limitations of Tinkercad, but I had a lot of trouble lining everything up properly. After a lot of tweaking, I managed to get something mostly right, with just a few really tiny defects. Luckily, in slicer and when I printed it, those defects don't show up (I'm guessing because the resolution of the printer). So the model has a couple issues, but it does print okay.
