Description
A four piece coordinate motion puzzle that assembles into a truncated octahedron. This is a copy of a beautiful wood puzzle of mine (see photo). The wood puzzle was made in 2004 by Interlocking Puzzles. The designer is listed as Steve Smith.
Print one copy of ComoPiece1Basic and one copy of its mirror image. Same for ComoPiece2Basic. You can mirror a piece in Slicer by selecting the piece and then right click Mirror → Along X axis. Piece1 requires supports. When complete, all four pieces are different. In my photos, the two versions of Piece1 are purple, and the two versions of Piece2 are printed in marble.
Assembly is tricky but not that difficult once you get the hang of it.
This puzzle is sized to fit in a 3" cube. Unit size = 19.05 mm, Bevel = 0.5 mm, Offset = 0.075 mm. The wood version is slightly larger (Unit size = 21.75 mm).
