TikTok Flip Out Knife Fidget

Print all 4 plates of your chosen knife design as well as 1 blade, 2x peg, and 1 end cap.

Required Hardware

• 4x M2.5x10 screws or other small screw (I Included some blank plates so you can decorate the knife with whatever design you want!
• 2x 1 mm by 10 mm long dowels. (I used a longer dowel and sanded down the length until it fit as well as drilling out the holes in the end cap button and blade piece to make the hole wider)

I am testing out sizing so that a small piece of filament can be used instead of a dowel!

For the flip-out mechanism use 1 small elastic band such as one of those small clear hair ties. I used a rainbow loom band for mine!

When assembling, put the same number inner and outer plates together. (Outer plate 1 goes with inner plate 1)

Insert one pin into the small hole in the blade and the other pin into the small hole in the end cap. 

Adding the elastic band: 

1. Assemble the pegs and inner and outer plates 2. 
2. Following the red line, first assemble the end cap with the pin nestled into the small hole in the outer (black) plate and the main hole of the end cap is around the black peg.
3. Using the blade component, “hook” the band with the pin and bring it around the black peg so that the metal pin is in the groove of the inner plate (purple). You should be able to lock the blade into place now with the help of the end cap.
4. Add the inner and outer plates 1 and screw together with your chosen screws.
