Description

A remix of the Bad Company board game organizer from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5942029. I kept the overall tray sizes, but changed how things are organized and put together based on how I preferred them to be:

  • Instead of 8 small trays for most components, there's now only 2, so it's easier to unpack. And each tray is split into 3 sections (for the money and checkmarks).
  • The original card trays were unnecessarily tall (maybe for sleeves?) but without sleeves, we can cut their heights in half, and there's now an extra tray under each card tray, which provides a larger dedicated space to better organize the meeples/card/tokens, the dice, and the necklaces; without having to cram them into a tiny tray.

You will need 1 of each model and 2 of the "money_checks" model.

How I Designed This

I used Tinkercad to refactor the various trays from the original design. I liked the original for the most part - the main thing was that it seemed a little cramped because the trays for the pieces were so small. I originally thought that maybe if I combined them I could improve that, but then I realized that the card trays were twice as tall as they needed to be. By cutting them in half, I could add a bunch of extra space to better organize things.

I pretty much kept the exterior dimensions of each tray intact, and simply changed the insides, ensuring that the final print would still fit in the well in the box.
