Terraforming Mars Dice Game: Project Card Tray

This is a card tray for holding Project Cards during the play of the board game Terraforming Mars - The Dice Game. The tray holds sleeved cards, and there are three sections to handle the complete deck of Project Cards along with a discard pile. When storing the game, the third section of the tray holds the Corporation Cards and Bonus Cards. The tray fits conveniently in the box, sitting atop all of the dice in one of the two cardboard channels. A .STL file for a card divider is included for those people who like to cycle through the full decks over time and want to separate drawn cards from cards yet to be in play.

Four filament swaps were done while printing this tray to bring out the Mars cube and stars.

How I Designed This ===================

The tray was designed in Fusion 360. The Mars cube with star background was downloaded from an image on the web, edited in Gimp, and converted to a .SVG file using Inkscape. The .SVG file was then imported into Fusion 360 for extrusion. The "T" and "M" on the underside of the tray were generated from an image of the box game lid using Gimp and Inkscape. The "Dice Game" text on the underside is Prototype font.

The final design of the tray was exported into MeshMixer as a .STL file.
