Description
The kids wanted a Connect Four game they could take with them, so I designed this version with a tray that latches shut and includes storage for the checkers.
The game board prints standing up. So, if you're using a bed slinger you either need to slow the print down sufficiently, or you'll need a brim for that part (possibly both).
You'll need two sets of 21 checkers in two contrasting colors (maybe print a few spares to be safe). I've included a star design and a flower design. You could also make your own by starting with a cylinder that's 20mm diameter by 5mm tall.
The board slides on two pins in the center top of the base. You'll need to remove the two, built-in support tabs under the pins before sliding the board on (the supports should pop right off).
After that you need to insert the pin into one corner of the board, at a right angle to the base (similar to how it looks assembled). Next you need to flex the base a bit to insert the pin on the other side into the adjacent bottom corner.
Once it's put together you'll probably want to fold the board shut and slide it back and forth a bit, just to smooth out the motion. If the detents are too aggressive, you can knock them down with a little sanding.
