Description

This is my first real action figure fully designed in Nomad Sculpt with two cool action features and a poseable arm! This might be the new king of your toy room! Impress your other figures with sword fighting and head turning action! It get's rough in the toy zone? Rotate the visor to analyze the situation!

The figure is a fairly easy print and fun to put together! The assembly requires glue and some parts are a bit more difficult to arrange. A few pieces are a tighter fit and a bit of pressure is needed to get those into place.

I wrote an assembly instruction BUT you can try putting everything together without it!

I hope you like this model! HAPPY PRINTING :)!

Printing Recommendations

  • Low speed (30mm/s) to get smooth surfaces and perfect fits.
  • Supports are needed for following parts:
    Upper_Head, Upper_Body_1, Belt, Shoulder_Pad(s), Lower_Arm(s), Upper_Backpack, Belt, Handle
  • Great to print with PLA: Use different colors and flurocent filament to add a nice touch.

Assembly Instructions

Some parts can be a bit tricky to assemble. Make sure to print everything first before putting parts together. Got all pieces printed already? Nice job! Grab a coffee or tea or whatever you prefer and let's start assembling!!!

(Need more visual guidance? Please check the images provided in the gallery.)

Part 1: Arms, Legs and Belt

  1. Arms (1x R, 1x L) (glue): Lower_Arm + Upper_Arm + Shoulder_Pad
  2. Legs (1x R, 1x L) (glue): Armor + Knee + Boot
  3. Belt (glue): Belt + Lower_Body + Upper_Body_2

Part 2: Visor Function

  1. Visor function (NO GLUE): Take the Lower_Head and place inside:
    Visor_Gear + Visor_A + Visor_B + Head_Gear_Axis + Rotateable_Visor_Gear + Small_Head_Backpiece
  2. Upper head (glue): Upper_Head + Headdress
  3. Completion (glue): Stick the Upper_Head and Lower_Head together. Don't apply too much pressure and make sure the gear sticking out of the back of the head remains rotateable.

Part 3: Poseable Arm

  1. Poseable arm (glue): Add some glue to the hole of the Socket. Put the Socket into the little rectangular hole on the left in Upper_Body_1 (the Socket's hole need to face the hole in the side of Upper_Body_1). Push the Short_Arm_Axis into the hole on the side ALL THE WAY into the Socket (apply pressure)! You should here a loud click! Check if the axis remains rotateable and the socket inside moves as well.
  2. Completion (glue):  Arm + Axis

Part 4: Sword Arm

  1. Sword action (glue): Apply glue on the inner side of the Arm_Bevel_Gear (not a surface on the outside of the gear).  Put the gear into the right, bigger rectangular hole on the back of Upper Body 1 (the flat surface has to face the hole for the arm axis). Push Long_Arm_Axis into the hole on the side of the body through Arm_Bevel_Gear. Check if the gear and axis remain rotateable (they should be able to move easily).
  2. Completion (glue):  Arm + Long_Arm_Axis

Part 5: Neck

  1. Collar (glue): Collar + Upper_Body_1 (pressure is needed)
  2. Neck (glue): Neck + Neck_Axis + Neck_Bevel_Gear
  3. Completion (glue): Lower_Head + Neck

Part 6: Head Rotation

  1. Head action (NO GLUE): Place the head on top of the body so the Neck_Axis sticks out of Upper_Body_1. Let the head sink all the way in and try to keep the the left arm low. Start rotating the head now and see if the arm moves, too.
  2. Rotation gear (glue, most difficult part): Add glue on the inside of Neck_Gear. Stick it together with the Neck_Axis. Try not to push the gear too hard against Upper_Body_1. Check if the head moves easily when turning the gear.

Part 7: Upper Body

  1. Body (glue): Upper_Body_1 + Upper_Body_2
  2. Lower Backpack (glue): Upper_Body_2 + Lower_Backpack + Backpack_Axis
  3. Backpack gear (NO GLUE): Place the Rotetable_Gear_Backpack on the axis.
  4. Backpack completion (glue): Upper_Backpack + Lower_Backpack/Upper_Body_(1+2)

Part 8: Belt

  1. Belt (glue): Belt + Belt_Buckle + Skull (tight fit)

Part 9: Lower Body

  1. Leg Axis: Push the Leg_Axis through the hole in Lower_Body.
  2. Add Legs: Push the legs onto the axis (tight fit). The figure is not designed to have poseable legs. I recommend to use some glue to keep those in place so the figure can stand more stable. However you can pose these to some extend if you don't use any glue.

Part 10: Sword

  1. Sword completion (glue): Blade + Handle

YOU DID IT! Congratulations!
Please don't forget to post a make of your model :)! Thank you!
