Description
Update 2024/11/07: Added 2row_molle_clip to use with the micropals grip versions to let you horizontal mount them on SCRD style 2row molle belts. Print a mirrored pair per holder.
Update 2024/10/28: Added angled_talon_grip-sculpted_constrained-flared_light and angled_talon_grip-micropals to the talon grips folder which are in testing for Angled Talon fitment.
Update 2024/08/23: Added talon_grip-micropals and micropals_clip parts to enable mounting Sayas horizontally on a “MicroPals” belt such as https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CJLZG2N7/ in the provided pictures. The clips can be really annoying to get into place, but I had absolutely 0 issues with my triple stacks staying put over the course of APOC, so I'm pretty content with the design.
Update 2024/01/24 - Added versions of angled slots with better angle on the topmost slot, removed some extra holes from the thicc versions for faster printing.
My from-scratch “Warped Sayas” redraws of Voidstar's Warp Saya fileset, all because I wanted to customize a little bit and hate dealing with mesh files. Most of these changes are to improve working with the parts, some are aesthetic, and at least a couple are a weird thing that someone asked me for.
I will be including STEP files for at minimum the front_blank and back_molle filesets, it's just an annoying process exporting out of a configured Fusion design. I may also just toss in the configured archive for those with the paid team account to access it.
There's a lot of files and variations to work through here, and most should be pretty obvious just from the file name and 3D model, but I'll put a breakdown here to help explain.
back_molle folder/back_molle- - These are the back plates to be used with MOLLE/PALS gear. Requires the Molle Loop and Molle Stick parts in og supporting files folder.
front_blank folder/front_blank- - These are front plates with a blank surface instead of the og chevron design. Good for some custom logos or other designs to be added.
front_chevrons folder/front_chevron- - Front plates with a recreated chevron design from the og.
front_full_chevrons folder/front_fullchev- - Front plates with the chevron design filled out. Pretty efficient on filament.
front_thiccboi folder/front_thicc- - Front plates where the flat surface is brought out even with the string ports. Kinda silly, but probably good for attaching velcro for patches. Not that bad on filament with lower infill. -no_holes version has some extra holes removed for quicker printing.
-through_slots - These files have straight-cut slots similar to og Warp Sayas, but with increased gaps and tolerances for easier stringing
-angled_slots - These files have slots that are angled open to allow even easier stringing. -angled_slots_top have a more open topmost slot for potentially easier initial stringing.
-cutaway - These files have some of the string ports cut out, same as what Chance's files did, for filament reduction (1g-2.5g in my experience) and the easiest stringing
talon_grip-flare_light - Og-style Talon grip with some upper flare, like how Chance did theirs, but a little dialed back.
talon_grip-sculpted_open-flared_light - My take on the Talon grip. Thinner and more flexible with notches to help stay aligned with the cord crossings. Lightly flared at the top and fairly filament efficient.
talon_grip-sculpted_constrained-flared_light - Same as sculpted_open except the bottom-most cord crossing now goes through a hole like the top-most crossing. This should provide the most help in keeping the grip aligned to the plates.
divider_redraw - Simple redraw of the og divider piece to make the lower hole easier to feed filament through, round a couple corners, and reduce filament usage just a bit. I've even printed a couple with no top/bottom layers to use even less filament as a test.
