KeyCrappie - The print your own Romley KeyCappie fidget toy clone (aka cute key cap guy)

I've long been a big fan of the Keycappie by Romly, a great little figure that can house a an MX compatible mechanical keyboard switch right in his head. They're so cute that I couldn't resist the temptation to make one of my own.

I'm not a 3d artist by any stretch of the imagination and built this using simple geometric shapes in Tinkercad. It took a lot of trial and error to get to something that looked good but printed well with a minimum of fuss. I'm really happy with how it came out though!

Added a bunch of alternative models with different faces so you can have a KeyCrappie to suit your mood! Also included a blank version for those of you that want to customise with your own faces!

Because this is a clone of an existing product (and because Romly is awesome!), this model has a non-commercial license. _You can print it for yourself, friends and family etc but you may not re-sell the model or sell prints of this model._

Printing:

The model should open upside down in your slicer (with his feet in the air). Print him like this with SUPPORTS ENABLED on build plate only.

I print mine with a 0.15mm layer height and 100% infill but I suspect you can get away with less (I just prefer the added weight). Print time is about an hour.

I do not know how this will print on a resin printer, you're on your own with that.

If you want to make a "god of KeyCrappie" for use with Kailh Big Keys, print scaled at 398% in all directions! 

Post printing:

After printing you'll have supports in the head, they pull out easily, but make sure you get them all or your switches won't fit properly. To install your own switch, you can use any standard MX compatible mechanical switch, the tolerance is pretty tight so give it a good push and you'll be good (it's easier if you put a keycap on first!)
