Description
Concept:
Modular figurine similar to popular Japanese figurines, but the twist is you can 3d print the whole thing, additionally I plan to keep the base very simple and standardized before getting too carried away with different character pieces.
/should be printable/ I had some last minute sizing issues with the head, block head might work but I haven't tested it yet either.
All said and done this is a dream project I've been wanting to do for a long time just never sat down to do it, then I seen the contest so it seemed like a good way to trick myself into starting, if you want to wait for better fittings/updates would be wise, but if you don't mind printing and testing I was able to get what's pictured together, unfortunately this was as far as I could get generic-chan's head it's not quite proper yet seems like spheres work differently in fitting then pegs[?]
The more you know.
Anyways I just wanted to get what I had uploaded at least, and if you like the project concept, consider demanding I continue on it. I'd like to do different characters and keep the pieces compatible, most things print with built in supports, and upon requests I can put with out supports, like the katana I cut down because they where annoying to remove so I made it to be printed flat.
I'm sure even with the final version there'll be trial and error, I've had some weird instances where I'd have two of the same pieces one fit perfectly the next one loose, might have to do with z-seam, so if you can align z-seams with the pegs might actually work in your favor maybe idk, this all went a lot smoother and streamlined in my head lmao.
All block style pieces are currently untested.
In the long run I plan to keep it going I think I can even make more brick like pieces, furniture, etc.
