TL;DR: No-lid-lift, suitable for vertical storage, fits sleeved cards (see last page of pdf), fast setup and teardown insert for the boardgame ‘The Taverns of Tiefenthal’.
Pro Tip: shuffle the required components during re-storing into the box for an even faster setup next time.
IMPORTANT - in case there are differences in game boxes, I used the German version from Schmidt Spiele as a reference.
IMPORTANT 2: The 3mf-files are not slicer-project files! They are exports from F360 and contain only pre-cut model data!
In case you want to obtain a commercial license - consider joining my club here on printables. All files for purchase are included in the commercial license already.
Finally, I would appreciate it if you left a like and after printing provided a rating - this would help me further improve myself.
As for the other inserts I create, I aim for the following (in priority order):
- Enhance step and tear-down part (goal: setup should never take longer than a refresh of the rules to the game)
- Opted to store the majority of sleeved cards (specific sizes of trays see uploaded pdf)
- The game box can be stored horizontally or vertically
- Try to be as lightweight and resourceful as possible - but functionality wins
- No Support needed
A few key items (further information on printing see uploaded pdf):
- Printing requirement: 0.4 nozzle, Arachne Wall Generation, largest printing object is 216mm or 190mm (if you use ALT_files) - in case it needs to be smaller, you can contact me and I will try my best
- I normally print without Top/Bottom layers and between 10 and 15% Honeycomb infills and 2 walls to achieve the look you can see in the pics. In case there are icons/information (e.g. card trays), I only print without Top/Bottom layers up to 2mm in height.
- If you use PrusaSlicer/BambuSlicer or forks of it (i.e. I use OrcaSlicer) I suggest that you load the 3mf-files - those are pre-cut and names contain additional printing information
- All those settings result in appr. 750g of filament needed for the whole print
- In case you don't have the expansion and/or also don't plan to get it - you can substitute the bottom trays (except the one card tray) with a block of 216x290x15mm of a suitable material (e.g. foam, carton, etc)
As always, I love suggestions & feedback to improve further.
Have fun printing.
