Description
I had great fun with Meister Edel's and other's rotors but wanted to make it bigger. This takes up most of a my 300x300 bed. I really could have made it a bit bigger for my printer, but This seems big enough for now. It flies nice and high and the larger size causes it to “glide” a lot further on the way down so watch out for the wind! I have one decorating the roof of my house!
This is intended to print with .6mm line width. If you don't have a .6 nozzle, don't worry, you can print .6 with a .4 just fine. Just change your line sizes in your slicer.
So far, I have only printed this in PLA +/pro which has worked, but if you try to some PLA ones have “exploded” on me when spun hard so beware.
I included my Fusion model file. This is literally my first go at the design, so I have not done any work on trying to optimize the geometry, but it worked fairly well. I think i do need to tighten up the connection to the launcher axis as it has been a little loose and does slip. I plan to do some updates to these soon.
Update 5/21/2024: I tightened up the fit to the launcher peg.
