Description

After searching for information about the robot that was made for the film, I created this 1:8 scale miniature whose movement works thanks to magnets that are hidden inside the model through a "pause at height".

The maximum size of the magnets that the model supports is 12mm in diameter and 3mm thick, although they can be smaller. You will need 6 magnets in total of equal size.

I recommend printing it with a layer height of 0.2mm, and using this layer height to pause at layer number 75.

It is very important that the orientation of the magnets is correct, otherwise the parts will repel each other instead of attracting each other. A diagram of its placement is attached on the plans. The interior gap of the model is designed for easy sliding of the magnets.

For the letters and braille I recommend using paint on the model that has the relief facing inwards, although I also attach a variation to be able to change the filament.

To attach the 4 screens needed to print to the body you will need glue.

I would really appreciate it if you made this model and shared it. I hope you enjoy this work.
