Description
0.20mm Quality
5% infill to 25% infill
Seam: Aligned (I used the seam draw tool for the best results)
I recommend using a height range modifier where the basket joins the envelope of the balloon. Reducing the speed to 8 to 10mm/s will help part cooling as the print head jumps to build up the section.
For multi-coloured balloons I used the height range modifiers across the envelope of the balloon. Equally dividing it up according to the amount of layers, minus the basket and connecting section.

Domes can be difficult to print. For most of the print, I use 5% of infill. The aim is to avoid print failures caused by overhangs so as the print approaches the top, I use 15-20% of infill and increase perimeters to help support overhangs. I have provided a 3MF with an example.
As you reach towards the top you can increase perimeters.

Over the past two years, I have printed over 200 balloons. I have encountered many difficulties along the way, but it has been enjoyable to experiment and deepen my knowledge of 3D design and FDM printing.
