ROTA the Roman Mill Game (ROTA, römisches Mühlespiel)

This is our version of ROTA (latin=wheel), the old but unique roman mill game.

Top and bottom have two compartments for 10x3mm magnets each. It holds really tight and is self-aligning when putting top onto bottom. Have a look at the video!

In this sample we used signal-white and Viva La Bronze for the box as well as copper and antique gold for the pins.

Here are the rules:

Before playing:

• Each player gets 3 pins.
• Players place the pins alternating to any of the 9 holes.
• Make sure that your oponents does not get 3 pins in a row already in the setup or you have already lost the game :-)

Gameplay:

• Players take turns moving 1 pin at a time.
• Pins follow the mentioned lines (straight and curved).
• No jumping over own or enemy pins.
• You only move 1 spot at a time. (Alternative rule: Moving more than one spot at a time is allowed. You can move as faw into one direction as there are empty spots.)
• Finish: Get 3 pins in a row. This can be horizontally, vertically, diagonally or around the wheels outer circle.
