Description
I've recently started DMing without a screen for my playgroups. My DM Screen had a nice wooden channel across the top of it so we could easily track initiative order via cards.
Since I'm no longer using my screen, I wanted a visual way to be able to track Turn order, without requiring a large screen or cluttering my end of the table too much.
Print as many pole sections as you need for your playgroup (2-3 will probably work for most). Customize flags with your players names (and ideally, color coordinate with their mini/artwork/vibe), and keep things running smoothly!
The small box also acts as a defacto stand, and has enough space to keep all the flags and pole segments for a couple of playgroups.
Another route you could take is laminating a blank flag with some simple packing tape, and using a whiteboard marker to write names as necessary.
For the Enemy/Ally Font, I used a brilliant font by Tup Wanders (Hexenkoetel) from fontspace (https://www.fontspace.com/hexenkoetel-font-f98942) -
