Half Lenght MEGA Masterkey

This is a magfed underbarrel blaster that fires Half lenght MEGA darts from MisplacedMoose magazines.

Ispired by LeedleDynamics Stringer Mega Masterkey and the Maraca, it's an upgrade from the former and uses a very similar loading system to the one of the latter and features a very smooth prime for those stealthy tags.  

Hardware

It only uses a lenght of elastic rope of 4mm in diameter and three M4x30mm hex bolts with their respective nuts to mount it on Picatinny rail.

Printing Orientation

The Slide needs to be printed on his upper face or with the Picatinny mount on the printbed, if you prefer. A brim is recommended if you tend to experience curling with long parts. If you feel that the bridging of the lateral holes could be difficult to be achieved by your printer you can also use supports on them.

The Magwell, like the Slide, needs to be printed with his upper face on the printbed.

The Barrel will be placed with the front on the printbed.

The Track is the most difficult to print since it needs to be printed with the sloped front face on the printbed, a brim is pratically obligatory. It could also be printed with the upper face on the printbed but you'll need to support the string tracks and they can be difficult to remove.

The remaining parts can be printed simply on their sides. You'll also need to print two Magwell pins.

Just like in LeedleDynamics' designs the pins can be sanded or scaled to the desired sizes if need be.

 Assembly Instructions

1) First slide the Track in the Magwell

2) Then slide the Barrel from the front

3) Align the pointed hole and insert the main pin until it sits flush.

4) Then insert the magwell pins in both sides of the magwell until they are flush .

5) Insert the Trigger in the slit on the front of the magwell.

6) Insert the trigger pin while carefully aligning the hole in the trigger.

6a) The pin should sit flush with the trigger guard, i used one of the bolts to push it in place.

7) The Pusher need to be inserted in the slide with the long “finger” pointing towards the picatinny mount.

8) Insert the pusher pin until it's flush.

9) Insert the slide on the main assembly while paying attention to the tracks.

9a) The Pusher can be pointing too much up or down, align it and finish sliding it in.

10)Time for the string:

First insert it in the barrel hole 

then inside the track

and back in the barrel hole

then do a noose knot with one end of the string, tighten the whole loop to the desired strenght priming and firing and to end it all do another noose knot on the other end and voilà! You're done!

Final Notes

The magazine is by design very firmly held in place by the mag detent, , but if you feel that it should be easier to remove the magazine you can file down the mag catch in the back of the magwell until it has the desired strenght.

Due to the design of the pusher you should load one dart less in the magazines, so 6 in the 7 darts mag, 9 in the 10 ones etc…
