Description
Practice your dice throwing technique and gradually increase the throwing distance to become a master of Basket-Dice!
Cheating or influencing the outcome is made impossible by the required throwing technique and the trampoline that gives the dice a final swing.
All individual parts are easy to print without support and easy to assemble afterwards. No additional hardware is required.
All printing was done with 0.4 nozzle and 0.2 layer thickness.
Assembly:
Take the toothed Pivot Wheels and place them both inside the holes of the Trampoline Arms.
Now place the Trampoline with both square axles inside the Pivot Wheels in the Arms. (The sides that were on the printbed (straight side) needs to be pointing towards the trampoline.)
Place both Axles in the Base for Basket. Ensure that they are well pressed. Due to the taper shape they will set themselves. Ensure that they are pressed in evenly so that the trampoline is horizontal levelled. The sides that were on the printbed (straight side) needs to be pointing towards the trampoline.
Place the Pole in the base. The side that was on the printbed (straight side) needs to be pointing towards the trampoline. Press well.
Place the Basket on the pole. Again press well.
Now slide the Basketball Backboard just behind the basket. It will lock in place. It is a tight fit to ensure the Backboard is securely attached and not wobbely.
Finaly you place the base over the axle of the Dice Catch Tray. Alternatively, you can also use another dice tray. However, the dice can bounce quite a bit due to the trampoline, hence the designed tray with a raised back wall so that the dice actually remain in the dice tray.

To remix or experiment with the trampoline idea, I added the trampoline (along with the arms and pivots) as a step file.
