Description
I didn't have a metal spring handy, but I was aware of a 3D-printing technique for making one.
The end sheaths should fit around an inner diameter of 10mm.
Print two and glue the sheaths together for a stronger spring!

Model in Fusion 360
I created two sketches: one for the sheaths and one for the squiggles.
The sheaths had a simple profile that I swept 180º around the center.
The squiggles sketch followed lines equally spaced between the ends, with fillets added afterward.
