Description
I have added a “finger cutout” to one end of the original oasis_box.stl for those who would prefer to give up a little bit of storage space in exchange to make it easier to remove this part from the game box. Print either oasis_box.stl or oasis_box_finger_hole.stl, as best fits your needs.
I have added an optional sleeved_cards_holder.stl which can hold (barely) the Rival and Djinn cards sleeved with up to 80-micro thick sleeves. If you want to use this option, you should print four camel_box_short.stl models and just one camel_box_tall.stl model. The "short" boxes and riders box sit on top of the cards holder.
This is an insert designed to fit the Allplay 2024 edition of the game Through the Desert plus all the pieces from the Bazaar expansion. As you likely know, this is a very full box, and as such this insert does NOT supports sleeved cards, but in exchange it holds everything with less than 1mm of lid lift. (It probably won't hold the optional wooden camels, and definitely won't hold both plastic and wooden camels)
I printed these with 15% gyroid infill, but you can use 10% infill if you increase the number of top shell layers by one (or if you don't care about slight imperfections in the bottoms of the boxes). PLA+ works great for all of these.
You will need to print one of most of the models, with the following exceptions:
* print three each of camel_box_tall.stl models, color-matched to three camel colors if desired.
* print two each of camel_box_short.stl models, color-matched to the remaining two camel colors if desired.
Notes:
* The oasis tokens store better if you take their tops off and store the bases horizontally.
* The drawstring bag from the expansion rolls up and fits in with the oasis tokens.
* The rider_box.stl and two camel_box_short.stl pieces stack on up of the cards_holder.stl piece.
* I recommend storing the game board on top of the other pieces to help keep the pieces from moving around. The lid of the box can do this, too, of course, but the extra weight of the game board seems to be more effective.
