Description
We've been developing these pool toys, so that we could have a sinking diving toy that shields various point values from view until they are retrieved.
We've included several point values, including some with plus points, some with minus points, and some, with other various math equations for some hidden math work during pool time!
The object of the game is to take turns diving and retrieving and affecting your running total until the game is done.
We'll be adding more point values and actions throughout the summer, but didn't want to delay in getting these up as soon as testing was done.
Try layering in a different color for the numbers to make it easier (or harder).
We also have designed these with slots for ball bearings to weigh them down. The design uses 8mm ball bearings available here: https://amzn.to/3VeuRL1
Program a pause print at 9.2mm to place bearings in.
Print at .2 layer height. We like to run it with 3 walls. I highly recommend slowing the printer down a bit for the numbers if you are changing colors.
We also recommend using a fun temperature change filament to make it more or less difficult! We used this one which turns to blue in the water and blends in to the pool bottom: https://amzn.to/4aS2pUP
Have ideas for other things to add? Let us know! We'd love to see more magic mathematical sinking pool toys!
