A 3D printable bumper that's actually good!

This has been redesigned to be more durable than the stock bumpers and significantly easier to print. No need to place it at a weird angle and use tons of supports, this bumper can be printed without supports altogether!*

The two part design makes the bumper easily fit into most print beds. I don't think the material you use matters too much, since the pieces are printed so that most impacts are perpendicular to the print lines most filament is still very strong. Even in my tests I used PLA and it held up quite well. For my final prints I used ABS which is a little more difficult to print. Play around with it! The only print setting I highly recommend is to print at 100% infill, you want it to be a solid chunk of plastic.

When assembling attach the skid plate first and the foot second. There are two variants of the foot, one that has more plastic and a less contoured edge, this was meant to be used in the back if you really like dragging the tail. Otherwise the more rounded version will match the stock bumpers profile.

Anyway that's about it, printing an entire set of bumpers uses slightly over 1kg of filament so make sure you have 2 spools! You can mix and match colors for the foot and skid plate to make something that looks cool! If you make them please share a make!

* A little cleaning up will be required if your printer isn't perfect at bridging, take a pair of cutters and cut out any overhanging strings (takes ~3 mins, it's easy). Can still be printed with supports if you want.
