Description
I designed this kart with 3D printing in mind, so everything fits snuggly together without many screws except for the base plate and the front/rear panels, even the wheels are just clipped, and turn easily after installing. I installed the screws for extra strength, but it should also work if you just glue it :)
The build process ist pretty self explanatory, the only thing that is important is that after screwing or glueing both panels on the Base Plate you need to install the tubing, you cant install the tubes after mounting the wheels and pedals on the model!
I used a bit of super glue to fix most of the parts together and used a drop of olive oil for the wheels and the steering wheel.
I included 2 test files for the steering wheel and the axle/wheel assembly, you can print them first to make sure the tolerances work for you.
I designed the Kart to fit the Ender 3, you need to print the Base Plate and the Tubing at 45° angle, also i designed the tolerances acordingly, i hope they work for you aswell.
There are 2 different sets of wheels included, the flat version ist easier to print, the other on has the rim sticking out a bit. If you want to print and tires seperately check out the awesome Remix by Lassi321.
Also i would be very happy to see your prints, and the colour scheme you choose, so please post your Makes! :)
Notes:
I printed the axles, the tubing and the steering wheel using 3 Perimeters for added strenght.
I also suggest printing the axles and wheels verticaly for the best roundness.
Update 25.03.2023:
I uploaded a new improved version (V2) of the steering wheel which seperates the clip and steering wheel into 2 Parts, i recommend printing this instead of the old on piece Version!
