Description
I did make another version of the wagons made by @Volker.
The pickets and bannisters can be removed by gently pushing them from below so the clips disengage (the bannisters have some tight fit tho).
The platform fits on all versions of the base frame, in case you like another one more.
There are stencils for the platform and the front/rear planks, you can add them to make multi-color prints. I'm using Cura for slicing, but there's probably a similar functionality in Prusa-Slicer. Usage is quite simple, just add the corresponding stencil, select it, click “per model settings” select “modify settings for overlaps” and pick “cutting mesh” in the options below. Then set your second color for that stencil part and move it to the same position (and orientation) as the base model. It then applies the second color to everything that overlaps with the stencil. If you want to move it around or multiply it, you can group the two parts first.
Everything besides the wheels is printed without supports.
I did print everything using a 0.25mm nozzle and 0.1mm layers for higher resolution, not sure if the small clips at the pickets and the bannisters will work with a 0.4mm nozzle. If you use multiple extruders a 0.4mm for the second color is fine.
I tried to get some wood-grain effect for the brown parts by aligning the line directions and slightly reducing the flow for the first layer but that didn't come out as good as expected.
I found that the wheels have a little much play, so the printable washers can be placed between the wheels and the frame.
You can either use the originally provided hooks but those didn't work out nicely for me, so I made a different version that I uploaded here. To install them you'll need in total two M3x12 bolts, four M3 nuts and four M3 washers. One bolt, two washers and one nut is used to fix the hook to the base frame, and one bolt, three nuts and two washers are used as a weight for the hook (seen the last picture). The hook should also fit on all versions of the base frame.
Have fun making the wagon, feel free to post a make if you printed one :).
