Description
As part of my campaign to prove that vase mode prints can be used for practical objects.
i have designed these vase mode “bombs” which can be filled with a harmless substance and dropped from a drone, thrown or slingshotted.
With spin stabilized fins to help them fly consistently.
using the provided funnel fill with flour or somthing that won't hurt birds,
Then use the provided plug to seal the tube with a drop of glue.
The tall version is better for dropping the short version better for throwing.
Design techniques
My new technique here is combined multi part printing,
The plug you use to seal the filling tube is actually printed on top of it, but designed to snap off easily, the support for it also snaps off exposing the filling hole.
The funnel provided also comes with a ram rod (necessary if using flour) which is printed on top of the funnel and snaps off easily.
This lets you print what would be separate items much more efficiently.
